new you: saving money with the BEAUTY BAN! :)

I am going to be posting 2 more of these "new you" articles. Look out for new you: tone up & new you: eating healthily.

I have just watched missbudgetbeauty 's video on using up products. It reminded me that at the beginning of the year, I pledged to not buy any new products until I used up 10 full sized ones. I thought i'd do a quick post on how I am doing so far....

Links to missbudgetbeautys used up products -
blog post

1. I absolutely love this product so it wasn't hard to use it up! I have already raved about this in my current hair routine (see here).  - Herbal essences split end repair intensive mask

2. This is a basic I can't do without. It has lasted me absolutely ages, as soon as I have saved some money I am going to let myself repurchase this. - Collection 2000 lasting perfection ultimate wear concealer in fair.

3. Went through two packets of these. Good for oily skin & a bargain :) - Primark tea tree cleansing wipes

4. Not much to say, read my review in my current hair routine (here). - Touch of silver shampoo bodycare £2.79

5. I run out of these so fast! But they are worth the few pennies the cost. If you haven't heard of them then where have you been?! - Batiste dry shampoo in blush

Let me know if you are on a beauty ban in the comments! If you want to do this with me, tweet me @thatsmesarahlea and I'll be your beauty ban buddy :) Lol.

My 5 favourite TV programmes atm

Gossip Girl
I have been a major fan of gossip girl ever since I read the books, I started watching it when season 3 was on ITV 2 and have watched every episode since. I have the series boxsets of 1 2 3 & 4. It is such a major fashion inspiration for me, plus the boys on there are pretty hot! Nothing wrong with that ;) I think this show is for the very girly girl.

The Vampire Diaries

I have watched TVD from the start, although I would say the books are a bit of a disappointment from the ones I have read. The next book haul I do, I might buy the first one and try them again though. This show is full of drama and literally has me hooked. If anyone talks in the hour it is on I will kill them! Lol. There is a little gore but hardly any and you get over that within 5 seconds of watching it. Definitely recommend if you have never watched it! AND IT STARTS AGAIN NEXT WEEK IN THE UK! I am so hyped for it.

Skins is a UK based programme set in Bristol following everyday teenagers and their not so everyday lives. I have watched all the series and the series that is on now (series 6) I am really loving. If you like gossip girl, one tree hill or 90210 then you will love this. Lots of juicy relationship drama! Although it features some pretty realistic problems in society, drug abuse, eating disorders etc, so if you're not into that kind of programme, this isn't for you :)

Take Me out

Okay, I admit it... I watch take me out. It's my guilty pleasure. Every Saturday. I look forward to it all week. It's probably one of the most cheesiest, unromantic programmes ever but it seems to have everyone watching it, so it's doing something right! Think a 21st century verson of Blind Date (you know the one with Cilla Black) I can remember watching that when I was tiny! Haha.

The Big Bang Theory

The big bang theory is heaven for geeks. I am a bit (that is an understatement) of a geek. So much so that my whole family have nicknamed me 'Sheldon' who is the main character in the big bang theory. It's about a bunch of nerdy physicists who are hilarious. It's like friends but with geek chic. WATCH IT NOW if you haven't already :)

Pancake day: the Sarah way ;) & THE WANTED

Happy pancake day everyone! I know this is a beauty blog... and pancakes are fattening, but they are my guilty pleasure! I made some earlier and here is what they looked like. I used a heart shaped cutter that my sister got from a cookie making set. What do you think? :)

In other news, I went to see The Wanted at the weekend. Here is a photo of what I wore, I wore a blue sheer dotted shirt from Tescos (£18), burgundy chinos from The Clothes Show(2 pairs for £30) & khaki snakeskin heels from matalan (Also £18). I wore my coat over it, which I featured in a recent haul post (here) £25 on sale in Dorothy Perkins. If you want closer pictures, comment & I'll see what I can do :)

OH AND IT WAS AMAZING! I saw them at sheffield motorpoint arena, I will probably do a post on my concert obsession soon, it's a major part of my life :) So good to be back into it as it was my first concert of the year!

Thanks for reading, big hugs, sarah xx
